Explain your role in a sentence:
I work with brands to build data-driven, omnichannel marketing strategies that grow revenue and strengthen brand awareness in an efficient and impactful way.
What does a typical week look like for you:
Every week is different at Thoughtful, and that’s what makes it exciting. One week might involve developing strategies to expand into international markets, while the next could be spent staying updated on platform changes and adjusting our approach to keep clients ahead. With the digital landscape constantly evolving, from shifts in US tariffs to the growing influence of AI, staying informed and adaptable is key.
What does success in the role look like?
Success in my role is about more than just hitting targets. It’s making sure our clients feel fully supported and like we’re a true extension of their team, going beyond the usual agency approach focused only on digital. That means being genuinely invested in their growth, working side by side to drive real results and build their brand for the long haul.
How do you manage work life balance:
I hit the gym most days after work because it helps me completely switch off and get my body moving. During the day, my brain is deep in data, so making time to move and spend quality time with family and friends really helps me recharge. On weekends, I love getting outdoors and catching up with friends and family over a nice meal. It’s the perfect way to relax and reset for the week ahead.
What are the 3 important areas brand should be leaning into to shape their new fin year digital road map
- Creating Personal Customer Experiences: Today’s customers expect more than just a product, they want to feel understood. Brands that use customer behaviour and purchasing habits to shape their messages to individual needs and preferences build stronger connections and loyalty. It’s all about making every interaction count.
- Staying Flexible & Trial New Technologies: Things move fast in the digital landscape, and brands that can adapt quickly have the upper hand. Whether it’s AI, automation, or new platforms, being open to trying new tools and approaches helps you stay ahead and find what really works. Flexibility is key to keeping up with changing customer expectations and market trends.
- Don’t Overlook Your Organic Channels: Paid channels are great for driving new customers, but without a strong retention strategy, you risk losing long term value. Channels like CRM, email and loyalty programs help turn first time buyers into repeat customers, increasing lifetime value and making your acquisition strategy work harder.
What are you most looking forward to in the coming months?
We have a lot of exciting projects in the pipeline at Thoughtful, including industry benchmarking reports, and with the peak retail period just a couple of months away, the timing couldn’t be better. These insights will provide our clients with a clearer understanding of their performance compared to the broader e-commerce market, allowing us to refine strategies and deliver more effective, efficient plans for BFCM.
